Davies & Co. Ltd, Burton Salmon Inside Thread Soda Bottle (1890's to 1915)

This is the first post in a very long time!  I thought I would get back to this blog with a very unusual English soda water bottle my father-in-law gave me a few years back.  The bottle has a wonderful embossed fish on it and it has the following words: " DAVIES AND CO. LTD. BURTON SALMON "  Until I started doing some research I thought this bottle contained some sort of liquid salmon concoction, like a type of cod liver oil. After looking into the history of this bottle, I found out that Burton Salmon is actually a small parish in the Yorkshire area of England.  It looks quite nice!  And the population hasn't grown much since the time this bottle was made. There were two Davies mentioned in historical registries, one John Davies, a brewer, and a Fred Davies, a soda water manufacturer. Were they brothers? This bottle has an inside thread enclosure, and dates somewhere between the 1890's to approximately 1915.
